1. Domestic Tournaments (Within State)

All amounts are minimum recommended rates. Organizers may pay higher rates for special events.
2. Out‑of‑State Tournaments
Organizers must provide the daily allowance plus the following:
- Transport: Full reimbursement of travel costs (bus / train / flight)
- Accommodation: Hotel room for the event duration
- Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA): ₦12,000 – ₦20,000 per day (city-dependent)
Travel & accommodation must be confirmed prior to the event.
3. General Conditions
- Allowances payable per day of active officiating.
- Organizers must confirm travel & accommodation arrangements before the tournament.
- Organizers failing to meet these minimums cannot list NCAA-certified arbiters.
- The NCAA reserves the right to review and update rates when necessary.
4. Purpose
To standardize arbiter remuneration nationwide, protect arbiters from underpayment, and help organizers budget transparently to promote the growth of chess in Nigeria.
